YE'INISIATI GIZHÏ

Seven Guetto is a small village situated next to Awaro, about 7km from Ambo.

It is named after the seven families that compose it, who we met for the first time in 2010, when they were established as an official village of 42 inhabitants.

On arrival, we found a farming and agriculturing society, with profound problems due to lack of livestock and clean water. To solve this, VPA helped them with the acquriement of some animals for the community.

We started with the purchase of two milking cows, to help with children malnutrition. After that, in 2012, we continued with three donkeys to help with the transport of water (the closest weel to the village is 10km away). In 2013, we bought 4 ethiopian cows, and we finished in 2014 with 7 goats.

In 2015, we noticed some sustainability in the village trough farming, with the production of some vegetables. Between the years 2016 and 2017, we worked on the full self sustainability with the purchase of 7 oxes (1 per family).
